This volume contains Roman plays, doubtful (very doubtful) plays, sonnets and a lengthy biography. Illustrations are bound in to the front and it is not clear which volume they pertain to (King Lear, Falstaff and Julius Caesar all appear in the illustrations but only Julius Caesar is in this volume). Although this appears to be a publisher's binding, the title pages state that this is a 2 volume edition while it seems to be a 4 volume set. Attractive but flawed volume of Shakespeare.
